this is a very interesting piece. I am not really a coffee fan but your interpretation of the logo makes it really attractive. the use of positive and negative space were definitely used correctly. also the attributes of the green in the logo really matches what the logo stands for in modern day.
I love the Starbucks Logo for many reasons.i agree with you when you say that the use of positive and negative space was used correctly, it really brings out the figure without being overwhelming to the eye, the green in the logo gives the logo modern and calm vibe to it, green is one of my favorites colors because when I see it I only think about good and relaxing things, which in my opinion is a great vibe for a coffee shop.
